Poco Deli

April 2, 2011 - Poco Deli - Kapitolyo, Pasig

After Saturday anticipated mass, LJ and I were having a hard time deciding where to eat dinner. It's always such a challenge to find new places to eat in that's not so far away from where we live. We realized that we haven't tried eating a full meal in Poco Deli, a cute restaurant that serves homemade sausages, bagel sandwiches, pastas and desserts. They also have a wide selection of wines that you can pair with your meal.

Santa Luz Red Wine (Php 450) - We ordered a bottle of wine to start off. This was the cheapest one on their shelves and the waitress suggested we get Merlot because it goes well with sausages.

Other wines to choose from. Price ranges from 450 - 1200.

Their display case full of HOMEMADE sausages (yes, they make their own!) and desserts. I'm really curious about their cakes. Next time we'll definitely try it.

Freezer full of sausages again. It's nice to bring home some and eat these sausages when you have nothing to eat.

Cute blackboards all over the restaurant.

Here's what we ate:

Platter of Sausages (Php 280) - Three kinds of sausages in one plate with bagel chips on the side, sauerkraut and black olives . We couldn't remember the names of each one but all we know is that it's so good! You can really taste how different each one is. It all went well with our wine!

Ready to dig in!

US Steak Sandwich (Php 180) - Strips of steak, mozzarella cheese inside a bagel and homemade chips on the side. The steak was marinated so well that you can actually eat it on it own.

Check out that cheesy goodness inside the bagel. It was just perfect!

Bacon Steak (Php 250) - Craving for hearty breakfast meal? Well this is the one you should get. Thick slices of bacon with bacon rice and two sunny side up eggs. Bacon was cured to perfection and has the right amount of saltiness. I can have this every single day but I might get a heart attack. haha

I will come back for you bacon steak!

After our meal, we still had some wine left and brought it home. It was such a feast that we couldn't move anymore after eating and just decided to chill and watch TV. That's what you call "buhay baboy" and it's the best! haha

Another weekend has passed and now let's welcome the weekday with some positivity! :)

Cheers to love and food!!
